iridiumwell, it looks like i may not make it to the Gogol Bordello shows (tonight & tomorrow) at Slim's. but other people who can make it should go.
Saturday i figure i'll go to the farmer's market and maybe the landfill, and then down to the Oakland Dry Ice Rink at 8pm for the all-girl roller derby. it'll be more fun if lots of people come, so if you're around you should come with me. badass women on rollerskates beating the crap out of each other, rock&roll, and cold beer...really, how can you go wrong? also, their poster-graphic is awesome.
(sadly, the Dry Ice Rink just means that it doesn't involve water, not that it's made of dry ice. i was disappointed.)
also, in November, Stephen Hawking and Jethro Tull have back-to-back shows at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland. *laugh* ...i was planning to go see Jethro Tull anyhow, but i might just have to go to both of those.
