things are pretty rough right now, and i could use some little distraction, some other thoughts, memories that aren't so hard and sad. so, here's this. *little smile* i think i'd prefer good memories, right now...

As you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please feel free (but not obligated) to post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want, either good or bad.

When you're finished, if you'd like, post this little paragraph on your blog.

I remember watching Buffy many times in your room, and hugging you good night after the show and getting my hair tangled in your spiky collar.

I remember us playing phone tag about two years ago when you were quasi in town for that one concert in the desert (doh! whats the name?)

I was both excited (about the possibility of hanging out) and paranoid and maladjusted (to my new downtown LA neighborhood).

i would run into you around MIT, usually around the Haus, and i would stroke your hair and your would close your eyes and smile, and we would always talk about hanging out but somehow it never did really happen...

i'm so glad it's been happening now that we're both on this coast.

i remember.....meeting you your freshman year making pankakes for sunday breakfast for Roast, and teasing you about the drawings on your arms and thinking "this girl with all the safety pins is pretty cool"....driving way out into the boonies of western MA and gowing swimming in the rain and getting stuck in a church watching this beautiful lightning storm.....painting beautiful skies of purple and blue together.....going on moonlit Bottichelli angelic adventures and sitting in my room watching colorful mountains + listening to old Bob Marley albums, with both of us getting up in the same moment to go find Alison, whom you accused of being entirely too psychic.

Hmmm... I remember sitting on the sandbar in bowman at night, wandering around east atlanta, meeting someone else who knew of Mary Prankster, talking of cannibal appocalypses and bbq appocalypses, wandering through athens, thai brunch, full-body hugs.

I need more-- get cracking! ::smile::

::hug:: hope things look up soon.

It was nice sitting in front of the Cube sharing a drink, watching the people go by on the Esplanade.

I remember working refreshments for LSC, and you were talking about course 3, and you were very, very excited about it. You might have mentioned metallurgy. And I concluded from this conversation and the fact that my freshman roommate Vanessa was also very, very excited about being course 3 (she LOVED her some polymers) that all course 3 majors are, like super-in-love with their major and very, very excited about it.

Hm...my most most recent memory is trading you chocolate for champagne this past Steer Roast where were were hanging out by 414.

Oh, I just managed to remember a good one... We had a (relatively) long zephyr conversation when I was in St. Mary's, SC... (I think that's where I was) when I was sailing up the East Coast. I was so horribly lonely and talking to you made me feel a lot better. I actually still have it in my zephyr logs. We talked about sailing and some other stuff. It was good.

Aeons ago... watching snippets ('cause I usually only dropped in for a bit because of being lame) of awesomely bad movies flopped on the couch in Victor's room at the Haus.

More recently... playing on the hand-powered cable car at the Eco-Lodge in Mindo. Watching all of the little children on the bus stare at your (bleach stripey) and Colin's (electric blue) hair.

Being short of memories of you, I shall have to invent one:

How nice of you to take me to the airport after a weekend of wandering around and showing my your city. Good food, beautiful art, time to see what you've been making, time to breathe different air and see the sun set into a different ocean. This time when we exchange hard close goodbye hugs it means "I'm glad I know you better" instead of "I wish I knew you better".

I'll go with something very recent, since, well, I have to!

You brought ALREADY SHELLED pomegranate seeds to craft night! And they were FABULOUS with cheesecake! Yay!
