Bem Sex Role Inventory Test

"The Bem Sex Role Inventory was developed in 1971 by Dr. Sandra Lipsitz Bem. It characterizes your personality as masculine, feminine, androgynous, or undifferentiated. The BSRI is based on gender stereotypes, so what it's actually measuring is how well you fit into your traditional sex role. Thus, your score says as much about how our cultural expectations have changed over the last 35 years as it does about your personality."

Androgynous

You scored 76 masculinity and 63 femininity!
You scored high on both masculinity and femininity. You have a strong personality exhibiting characteristics of both traditional sex roles.

Hehe. I really do think reinvestigating failure as an option is important though...

I didn't get all that extra info, though-- perhaps because I wasn't logged in or because I have scripting disabled.

I suppose you could take some pride in being Butcher than Adam. But really, who isn't?

well, yeah. :) but that's ok.

interestingly, i think most of the women i know who've taken it have scored androgynous (mostly with masculine higher) or masculine. i only have 2 data points for men, and y'all both scored with femininity higher. as the test says, i think it likely just says more about 'traditional' gender roles and the construction of the test (and the ways in which accepted-behavior has shifted) than the test-takers themselves.

the latter, i think. i wasn't logged in either.
