journalling
May. 7th, 2004 06:50 pmi've been poking at the idea of writing in this journal for a long time, but hadn't done so (until now) for several reasons. uncertainty as to the purpose of it, privacy concerns, and not wanting to end up using it mainly as an outlet for angst, unhappiness, etc.
i'm still not certain of the purpose, but my current thought is some combination of writing-for-self plus the potential of lj as a means of some sort of communication.
as for privacy...most entries from here on will be locked to some degree or another, i think. if you'd like me to add you to a friends-list feel free to send a hello and ask.
and for the last...life's been pretty rough for the last long while, and a lot of what i'm doing now involves dealing with that. so my guess is that that mess and dealing won't stay entirely out of what i write here, but it's equally my intention to write about the good things, or just day-to-day sorts of things, and more general thinking.
eh, so. an experiment...now, to see how it goes.
