distraction
things are pretty rough right now, and i could use some little distraction, some other thoughts, memories that aren't so hard and sad. so, here's this. *little smile* i think i'd prefer good memories, right now...
As you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please feel free (but not obligated) to post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want, either good or bad.
When you're finished, if you'd like, post this little paragraph on your blog.

it's been years since i watched Buffy, and i was thinking it might be fun to pick up a DVD and watch a couple of episodes sometime.
and yeah, that happens all the time with that collar. makes things exciting.

I was both excited (about the possibility of hanging out) and paranoid and maladjusted (to my new downtown LA neighborhood).

the empty stone church was amazing, in the thunderstorm. and i remember walking through the woods over mountain-bike trails to get to the lake, and going swimming in the murky lakewater.
*smile* thank you, for the memories. and the painting, and the adventures.

Oh, I just managed to remember a good one... We had a (relatively) long zephyr conversation when I was in St. Mary's, SC... (I think that's where I was) when I was sailing up the East Coast. I was so horribly lonely and talking to you made me feel a lot better. I actually still have it in my zephyr logs. We talked about sailing and some other stuff. It was good.

if you've got the conversation in your zephyr logs, i'd love to see it...i don't think i log my zephyrs, and sometimes i wish i did. *smile* i'm glad i was able to do some good, then.

More recently... playing on the hand-powered cable car at the Eco-Lodge in Mindo. Watching all of the little children on the bus stare at your (bleach stripey) and Colin's (electric blue) hair.

the hand-powered cable car was _awesome_. i want one, plus a gorgeous cloud-forest river to go with it.
thank you.

How nice of you to take me to the airport after a weekend of wandering around and showing my your city. Good food, beautiful art, time to see what you've been making, time to breathe different air and see the sun set into a different ocean. This time when we exchange hard close goodbye hugs it means "I'm glad I know you better" instead of "I wish I knew you better".

you should come out this way sometime; i would love to show you around. i may be moving before too long, though, and at the least i'll be out and traveling a bit next spring.
